Be Management runs day-to-day building operations for apartment complexes. Its engineers use the platform for routine checks across a building, from the rooftop down to the lowest basement. It is an internal platform, so there is no public page to link to.
The challenge
The places that need checks most often are the ones without signal. Rooftops and underground floors drop the connection. A check that fails to save has to be done again, or it simply gets lost.
What I did
- Joined as senior frontend developer and became lead engineer, leading three teams from client scoping to delivery.
- Built offline support: engineers finish their checks with no connection, the data stays on the device, and it syncs as soon as they are back in range.
- Solved a long list of hard production cases across the Angular + NgRx frontend and the Node.js + Express + MongoDB backend.
- Owned architecture and code review, and trained the team to move from legacy workflows to AI-assisted development.
Result
- Engineers keep the same pace on every floor, with or without signal.
- Check data no longer gets lost between the basement and the server.
